Have you watch a show called "I Want That" on Fine Living Channel? I saw some really cool products that are good for Eichlers or homeowners in general. Let me share with you some of products that I saw recently.
1. Water Softener by Scale Blaster.
Do you know there is an alternative way to soften your water other than adding salt to the water softener? ScaleBlaster is an innovative, simple and surprisingly affordable way
to get soft water at home. The small device is attached to a water pipe
like a blood pressure cuff. It changes the molecular make-up of
calcium carbonate in your water, rendering it small and harmless. The
end result is softer water and no more white calcium deposits around
your faucet and on your shower doors. For more details, please go to their website.
2. Quiet Bathroom Fan by Broan.
Broan is out with what it claims is the world’s
quietest bathroom fan. How quiet is it? So quiet that it has a small
light on the switchplate to indicate it’s running, because otherwise
you can’t really hear it.
They has many different type and style such as Motion and Humidity Sensing Fans.
3. Superfast Dishwasher
by Frigidaire.
Dishwashers typically take 90 minutes to wash and dry a full load
of dishes. Frigidaire has come up with a dishwasher that does it in
half the time. It’s the world’s first variable speed dishwashing
system.
What even better is that it's Half Load cycle lets you wash in
the upper rack without wasting water or energy. Can also be used for
mixed loads.
4. FlatWire
by Flat Wire.
Now you can have a home theater system without unsightly wires
running hither and yon. FlatWire is as thin as a sheet of paper and
goes right on top of walls. Cover with putty, sand, paint and you'll
never know they're there.
5.
A Mighty Flush
Toilet makers have made tremendous improvements to what can be
accomplished with the government mandated 1.6 gallon flush. And new
designs add a bit of whimsy to the plain porcelain bowl. Here are some new toilets for you to consider.
Toto’s NeoRest 600 is an intelligent toilet that senses someone approaching and opens the lid.
Kohler’s "Hatbox" toilet brings runway fashion
to the bathroom. And it does away with the tank, instead using an
electric pump to handle flushing duties.
6. Martini Chandelier and Capsule Light
by Touch Design Studio.
A cluster of martini glasses form a shimmering sphere, conjuring images of nebulae and rippling water. The
Chandelini is composed of six dozen martini glasses each independently
hung and lite from within by 10 watt candelabra-based bulbs. Chandelini are made to order pieces.
7. Insulated Paint by Insuladd.
Imagine lowering your energy bills simply by
mixing an additive into the paint before you roll it on the walls.
Insuladd is a heat reflecting material that helps prevent heat loss
during winter months and reduces the build up of radiant heat during
the summer months. Just mix it with paint and the ceramic materials
combine with the paint to create a layer of insulation. It's ideal for
interior or exterior use as well as on roofs, ceilings, attics and
floors.
8. E-Barrier Paint
by Sherwin-Williams.
This covering contains microscopic reflective particles, which keep
radiant energy from transferring in or out of a house. When applied to
the underside of an uncoated roof deck, E-Barrier is designed to
reflect radiant heat before it reaches the insulation or ceiling below.
Maker Sherwin-Williams says E-Barrier reduces heating and cooling costs
by as much as 15 percent.
9. Eclipse Louvered Roof
by Metal USA.
Now you can control the amount of sun and shade on your patio (or atrium and courtyard) with the
push of a button. Like a convertible for your patio, louvers in the
Eclipse Roof rotate up to 180 degrees to let light in or increase
shade. The roof is powered by a 12-volt battery charged either by a
solar panel or a 110-volt main supply.
10. Pella Vivid View Screens
by Pella.
Vivid View Screens are virtually invisible, so the view to the
outdoors is crisper and clearer than ever before. From the exterior,
they’re practically undetectable, so they won’t detract from a home’s
appearance. These screens allow 50 percent more natural light and
provide up to three times the airflow into the house. Pella partnered
with the makers of Gore-Tex to create the ultra-fine fabric for these
screens, and the material is backed by a 5-year, transferable warranty
against chalking, fading, hazing, or corrosion.
