Cupertino Eichlers, about 225 of them, are located in the Fairgrove enclave of this progressive community. Now the home of Apple Computer, and often viewed as the heart of silicon valley, Cupertino was the site of this new "orchard" - homes - of this bountiful fruit producing area of the valley. Built in the late 1950's and early 1960's, most of the homes are of Jones & Emmons design, and can be found in south Cupertino near Bollinger Road.
